To enhance the testing infrastructure across the Talawa ecosystem by introducing a robust, automated, and scalable testing strategy. This project will implement End-to-End (E2E) testing for the Talawa Admin and Mobile applications, integrate AI-powered tools for automated unit test generation, and establish custom checks to enforce best coding practices. It will also optimize memory usage to improve performance and reduce application bloat. The deliverables include a complete E2E test suite, AI-integrated unit test automation, improved CI/CD workflows with preventive checks, and a more efficient, maintainable codebase.
<p>The project focuses on building a GoLang RDF reader in native GoLang which not only would be useful for the SPDX community but also might help the golang community as a whole. RDF files being tag-based structures make it easier to chunk the files in separate processable blocks which can be serviced concurrently. With RDF licenses, there are many repetitive structures and parsing patterns that exist in the files. Using golang, a concurrent parsing using go-routines can be achieved which will definitely help in reducing the time required to parse each file.</p>
In the rapidly evolving world of software development, efficient and reliable deployment architecture is crucial. The goal of this project is to design and implement a robust deployment architecture that ensures seamless deployment of OWASP OWTF on Cloud Service Providers like AWS, Azure or GCP using VMs or Kubernetes.
<p>Developing Deluge Client using flutter and dart along with modern material interface.</p>
The idea is to create a Video Editor, a web-based application that takes markdown files, PDFs or any asset file as an input and separates those images and text, and converts them into a video or presentation. In technical terms, we can do this by making a video editor in React or some other framework that will take a file like writeup.pdf or another format. Then on the UI side, you have options to put text in blocks. A block will contain text, a time interval in the video and an image we will show at that time interval. That’s how we can make multiple blocks after submitting the data. We will call the backend REST APIs in Django or flask, which will take those data blocks containing time intervals images and text. And convert that text into speech and ultimately combine all those into an MP3 or any video file, which the user can get after the request is complete.
Dear Sir/Madam , The Following proposal describes my idea for the implementation of the plugin architecture for the talawa applications. Demo : https://github.com/SiddheshKukade/talawa-plugin-architecture-demo This repository contains the basic implementation of the plugin architecture in nodeJS. The README.md file in that repository explains the entire implementation step by step with an example. This idea can be improved further in the coding period to make it cost-efficient and extensible. Thank you
This project is segmented into four primary categories: Adding Missing Capabilities, Fixing Issues and Enhancements and Adding Examples & Improving Documentation Adding Missing Capabilities focuses on integrating new commands and aliases into the Element API to fill current gaps, guided by the W3C WebDriver specifications. This includes not only the introduction of additional commands but also the creation of aliases for existing commands to streamline their usability. Fixing Issues and Enhancements involves addressing existing bugs and making improvements to the Element API, such as making action commands chainable, enhancing Selenium integration, and incorporating touch/pen interactions. This section also proposes the addition of new commands based on the feedback and needs identified through user and community engagement. Adding Examples & Improving Documentation aims to update the existing examples to utilize the New Element API and introduce new examples that demonstrate the API's capabilities through real-life scenarios and automation tasks. Also, improve documentation for usage of the new Element API as well as migrations docs from the old global element API.
OWTF's current architecture has four systemic bottlenecks: workers that sit idle between single-task fetches, a FIFO scheduler with no priority or adaptive feedback, fragile plugin execution with no retry or timeout control, and an outdated tool ecosystem missing industry-standard scanners. This project replaces the flat task queue with a priority-based adaptive scheduler using a min-heap, where tasks are scored by plugin weight, risk factor, target priority, and a real-time feedback boost that re-prioritizes the queue when vulnerabilities are discovered. The worker model is upgraded with batch fetching, async pre-fetching, dynamic scaling, and target-affinity batching to eliminate idle gaps. A resilient execution harness adds configurable timeouts, retry with exponential backoff, subprocess isolation, and structured logging to every plugin run. Five modern tools are integrated using a self-contained plugin pattern: Nuclei, httpx, Subfinder, Katana, and ffuf. Deliverables: working adaptive scheduler, optimized worker pool, resilient plugin harness, five new tool plugins, HTML reporting with CVSS severity grouping, and comprehensive benchmarks showing measurable improvements in scan time and coverage.
<p>Improving currently existing leaflet blurred location library, also building a new library named leaflet blurred location display currently in prototyping stage. Also integrating more features such as adding power tags to blurred locations, also creating an email subscription regarding users' location or interest in certain projects, with information about the projects embedded in maps</p>
This project aims to resolve Issue add blas bindings and implementations for linear algebra by systematically adding the missing Level 1, 2, and 3 BLAS math routines to the @stdlib/blas/base/* namespace. To ensure speed and backward compatibility, every new routine will be split into two parts: a pure, low-level math engine and a simple, user-friendly classic API.This architectural split empowers the underlying math engine to safely handle complex, non-contiguous memory layouts and apply strict cache optimizations using explicit strides. Meanwhile, the classic API acts as a protective shield, automatically calculating the required memory offsets (e.g., negative strides) to deliver a seamless and intuitive developer experience.
<p>This proposal will present the project goal of idea 5, which is to integrate the web-monitoring software into the Wayback Machine and help to further advance it, and how this can be achieved. More specifically, the following solutions are suggested as part of the implementation plan: making the login screen optional, querying the CDX server and not the web-monitoring-db, implementing a mechanism for making changes to the UI easily, improving the code so it is able to handle a lot more data, using The Wayback Machine's calendar to present a webpage capture's dates, and keeping only the required project components. In addition, this proposal contains a link to a server hosting my implementation of some of the proposed solutions. Apart from that, a timeline that presents a rough plan of how the project would be implemented is included. Last but not least, biographical information is provided.</p>
<p>Create a native plug-in or extension to a well-known package manager to generate valid SPDX documents based on the information provided in the build metadata files. Examples of package managers include Node Package Manager (NPM), Gradle, Rust Cargo, Ruby Gems, Python pip, and Cocoa Pods. A plugin for Maven has already been developed and can be used as an example.</p> <p>The plugin should generate a valid SPDX document with minimal configuration required by the user.</p>
This project aims to migrate all the end-to-end tests from selenium to Cypress and increase end-to-end test coverage by covering more CUJs. Currently, the end-to-end tests are written using the Selenium framework which has become slow, flaky, and expensive to maintain. We aim instead of directly migrating those tests, first clearly write down the CUJs and write the test according to them.
The wrongsecrets project is structured in two modes the standalone app and the CTF mode. Here we will focus on OWASP/wrongsecrets-ctf-party and how to improve it in terms of infrastructure and deployment.
<p>OSEM is an event management app tailored to Free Software Conferences. OSEM already has a feature to sell conference tickets to its attendees. At the moment the user has to buy the ticket online and pay on arrival at the conference. OSEM currently lacks the ability for a user to pay for its tickets as per their convenience. In this project, we aim to fill this gap in functionality by adding online ticket payment feature. This will improve user experience by making the ticket purchase workflow smoother.</p>
This proposal aims to update the User Interface and add new features to catch up with the Android version of VLC, enhancing and making the user experience safer and easier. The main feature of this project will be adding to VLC iOS app the Parental Control feature already available on the VLC Android app. This will enable iOS users to restrict access to the app settings and to sensitive actions, such as deleting media files or modifying playlists, unless the user successfully authenticates via a PIN code or biometrics. This is particularly useful in environments where children or unauthorized users might otherwise access media libraries unsupervised. This feature will ensure that VLC for iOS offers the same level of protection and control alongside consistent design guidelines and accessibility currently available in VLC for Android. As part of this effort, some components of the settings interface and media actions will also be reviewed and updated to align with modern iOS UI patterns. Implementing these improvements will strengthen the app’s usability in shared environments and contribute to a safer, more polished experience for all users.
This project aims to optimize the open-source AV1 decoder, dav1d, for the RISC-V Vector (RVV) ISA by implementing Vector-Length Agnostic (VLA) intrinsics. The focus is on improving AV1 decoding performance across various resolutions and bit depths through dynamic vector-length handling, with benchmarking on real hardware like the Kendryte K230 (VLEN = 128 bits), the SpacemiT K1 (VLEN = 256 bit) and comparisons against ARM NEON using built-in dav1d tooling such as checkasm for detailed analysis.
The primary objective of this proposal is to: 1. Enhance the user interface for new designs in Tailwind, thereby optimizing the user experience. In order to achieve this, we will be developing APIs for BLT Flutter, which will provide greater flexibility and scalability to our system. 2. Additionally, I plan to implement an independent blockchain, which will enable us to create our own cryptocurrency, BACON coin. This will allow us to incentivize our testers whenever they receive likes on the bugs they post, thereby driving greater engagement and participation on our platform.
<p>The current text extraction system of CCExtractor for burned in subtitles depends on the input parameters like <code>conf_thresh</code>, <code>subcolor</code>, <code>whiteness_thresh</code> etc which are rather arbitrary and might vary from one video to another. Also, the text localization algorithm gives terrible results in many cases due to inefficient detection of regions as text/non-text. The ticker text extraction feature must also be added to the current hardsubx system. There are some cases in which the DVB subtitle extraction gives poor results.</p> <p>The goal of this project is to implement a text localization and binarization pipeline which is independent of any input parameter(other than the video file). This localization algorithm would also improve the OCR results and the classification of the frames into text and non text regions would become efficient. This project also aims at adding tickertext extraction feature to the current hardsubx system. The DVB subtitle extraction causes noise to be generated on the text regions and an additional filtering step needs to be added to improve the results in the case of DVB subtitles too.</p>
<p>CiviCRM is a great CRM for the needs of many non-profits, such as the NLG. A friend of mine suggested that CiviCRM has many features that campaign staff would use for political campaigns. He suggested two things that CiviCRM lacks that keep it from being competitive with other CRMs like NGPVan or NationBuilder:</p> <ul> <li>the ability to "cut turf" (i.e., select groups of contacts on a map to be assigned to a canvasser)</li> <li>integration with a mobile canvassing app to allow canvassers to add information to CiviCRM contact fields.</li> </ul> <p>This summer, I would like to work towards both of these goals. I think that the first goal --- making a "turf cutting" extension for CiviCRM using Leaflet --- is a good baseline goal for the summer. I have a prototype that communicates with CiviCRM using the REST APIs, so it's in reach.</p> <p>The second goal --- integration with a mobile canvassing app --- is a stretch, but worth working towards too. I've been rewriting the open-source canvassing app, Field The Bern, to be independent of Bernie infrastructure, and think it's a great candidate for CiviCRM integration. If time permits, I'd like to work on a CiviCRM extension to integrate with phones running Field the Bern.</p>
