The aim of this project is to rewrite Cloud CV Web App into a modern web app with a REST API backend with continuous integration and deployment.

I am trying to propose features and improvement in Pagure, which is a code review management system.

A tool for the Managers and the contributors to proposal/edit/approve changes as per fedoras change process.

pkgs.fedoraproject.org is a place which hosts about 17k git repos for rpms. Presently, it uses cgit. But, we do have Pagure for hosting git repos. After addition of few more features, we will be able to host pkgs.fedoraproject.org on a pagure instance. It will make pagure even more flexible software for hosting git repos and sharing code. I am sure project maintainers of pkgs.fedoraproject.org will like the change.

Happiness Packets encourages and makes it easier for people to send positive feedback to their peers (anonymously if they like). This project extends Happiness Packets by giving a Fedora Badge to anyone who sends a Happiness Packet to another contributor. To do this we need to add support for Fedora’s authentication system and a fedmsg hook.

Proposal

This is a user interface to draw and configure deep neural networks and supports import / export of model configuration file from / to caffe & tensorflow deep learning frameworks

Linux System Roles is a project related to Ansible, a tool for automating configuration management, application deployment and software provisioning. The goal of linux system roles is to provide a consistent user interface, abstracting from any particular implementation of the linux subsystems, but trying to get the most out of the particular libraries on each one of them.

The Network Linux System Role, the one that aims to be improved in this proposal, currently provides a unique configuration interface for network-scripts and NetworkManager. This tool requires many improvements in several areas as it is a relatively new tool.

In the proposal, all the issues are addressed, ordered from the tasks that the candidate considered to be better for the start in the project, to the ones that seems more challenging. The main goal of the summer will be to add Pytest support to the integration testing of the project.

This project involves fixing the last remaining kinks in the EvalAI UI. The goal of this project would be to improve the new UI as we replace the existing UI with the new UI. We will be improving on the new UI and incorporating the feedback we will receive from the challenge hosts and participants for the AI challenges organized this year.

Revamp the interface design according to the community standards and craft a better user experience for the Fedora Community application.

This project will involve implementation of a python-package for enabling CLI submissions and participation in the first phase. The second phase will involve implementation of a REST API and implementing a couple of analytics dashboards for the project. The third and final phase of the project will involve implementation of webhooks which will be a big design upgrade for the system.

This project will focus on improving the existing UI of EvalAI to improve the experience of both challenge organizers and participants. Beyond this, the project intends to improve the discoverability of all the features that are supported on EvalAI. The goal of the project is to ease the pipeline for challenge creation, enhancing the user experience of the platform, adding plots for displaying the progress of state-of-the-art algorithms, for displaying the progress of participant team in a challenge over the years and several other features.

EvalAI is a platform to host and participate in AI challenges around the globe. To a challenge host, reproducibility of submission results and privacy of the test data are the main concerns. Towards this, the idea is to allow users to submit a docker image for their models and evaluate them on static datasets.

Moreover, Github-based challenge creation allows challenge hosts to use a private GitHub repository to create and manage updates in a challenge. The idea is to support bi-directional updates for challenges created using Github. This feature will allow hosts to sync changes from EvalAI UI to their challenge Github repository.

Most containers currently have a hard-coded default seccomp profile, that is pretty loose and meant to support a wide range of use-cases. The idea of this project is to build a tool that would watch all of the syscalls made within a container, and generate a seccomp profile for this specific container to further harden security. We would want to add a command to the Pod Manager (Podman) tool to basically launch the container and then collect a set of syscalls either through strace, or auditing, or similar tracing technologies.

This project aims to enhance and optimize the existing platform by implementing several important features and improvements. These changes include the addition of domains, tags, and a prize and sponsor page, as well as the introduction of a deregister process, a revamped profile page with a new tabular UI design, a participant team approval feature, and the inclusion of GMT time stamps and many more features.

The proposal is towards improving the layer support and adding real time collaboration for Fabrik. I propose to add support for some essential missing layers, creating a Dummy layer which will automatically load any unsupported layers, and adding real time collaboration capabilities to the framework.

The What

The Community Blog is becoming an important part of the Fedora Project. This site is a shared responsibility between CommOps and the Infrastructure team. Unlike most applications in the Fedora infrastructure, the Community Blog is not based off Ansible playbooks. Ansible is an open-source configuration management suite designed to make automation easier. Fedora already uses Ansible extensively across its infrastructure.

My task would be migrating the Community Blog (and by extension, Fedora Magazine) to an Ansible-based set up and writing the documentation for any related SOPs.

The Why

In the current set up, the Community Blog and Fedora Magazine are managed separately from each other, and are managed by a single Infrastructure team member. By moving them to Ansible-based installations and merging the WordPress bases together, it adds the following benefits:

Easier for other Infrastructure team members to fix, maintain, or apply updates

Automates by maintaining a single, Ansible-based WordPress install vs. two independent WordPress sites

Creates a standard operating procedure for hosting blog platforms within Fedora (can be used for other extensions in the future)

Allow any user to keep the changes he does when he's booted into the live system across reboots.

Fedora IoT effort is the latest of Fedora’s objectives. Its goal is to “create a Fedora Edition for Internet of Things, which will make Fedora the default for open source innovation on IoT hardware, middleware and backend platforms”. Many IoT devices have special requirements for operation and automation. Among these is the requirement to not break upon operating system upgrades. As part of Fedora IoT, Peter Robinson ideated the Atomic Host Upgrade Daemon, which builds on the Atomic Project and rpm-ostree, a project also labeled “Git for Operating Systems”. This monitoring daemon will re-use the work done for Atomic Updates for IoT system, allowing for automatic checking for available upgrades, applying them, rebooting, checking the system status and, in case of errors, rolling back the changes.

This is a GUI client for the fedora QA team for rating updates.

Nmstate is a python library with command line tool that manages host networking settings in a declarative manner. This project aims to bring varlink support to nmstate library which will enable nmstate to be used by the systems that doesn't support python. Project is also focused to update kubernetes-nmstate to use varlink and improve documentation.

The proposal targets enhancing CloudCV by improving its admin dashboard, optimizing costs, and enhancing infrastructure monitoring. Key initiatives include developing EC2 admin actions, integrating Slack for streamlined challenge approvals, and automating resource management for cost efficiency and performance optimization.
This project is focused on significantly improving EvalAI’s usability by enhancing exsiting comprehensive test suite alongside a series of user experience enhancements. By increasing our test coverage, automating critical workflows, and refining the platform’s interface and documentation, this initiative aims to create a more robust, user-friendly, and resilient environment for both challenge hosts and participants. The enhanced test suite will ensure that all core functionalities, from challenge creation to submission processing are verified, reducing bugs and increasing system reliability. In parallel, targeted user experience improvements will simplify navigation, enhance error reporting, and streamline user interactions, leading to a more intuitive and supportive EvalAI ecosystem.

EvalAI is a platform to host and participate in AI challenges around the globe. To host a challenge, challenge creation is one of the core features which is utilized by challenge hosts to create AI challenges. The idea is to use private GitHub repositories to host the challenge files instead of the zip file. The next step is to build and integrate a continuous deployment pipeline with GitHub so that for every new commit in the challenge repository, the changes are automatically reflected on the UI. We will also build support for tests so that new commits are fully tested before they are pushed to the live challenge hosted on EvalAI. The goal is to enhance the challenge creation experience for challenge hosts and set up a challenge on EvalAI by the challenge hosts involving minimal human effort from the EvalAI team.
