<p>In this proposal, we aim to implement the detection and analysis of the Kafka traffic in Linkerd so that users can watch their Kafka service in a better way. For this purpose, we will write a Kafka codec and integrate it with Linkerd, design metrics for Kafka service, and then create corresponding charts and forms on the web dashboard.</p>
Historically, rustup has relied on $RUSTUP_HOME (defaulting to $HOME/.rustup) and $CARGO_HOME (defaulting to $HOME/.cargo) as monolithic directories for configuration, state, and data. In coordination with the Cargo team, this proposal aims to migrate `rustup` to use the standardized XDG Base Directory Specification on Linux. To achieve this safely, we will transition from a "dual-directory" approach to a "fine-grained" directory approach, unblock Cargo's own XDG migration, and establish a strict backward-compatibility protocol for existing installations.
<p>Backend for some most popular cloud services: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive. Integrating it with vlmc user interface.</p>
Idea based on https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Google_Summer_of_Code/2024/Project_ideas Ferrostar is the new cross-platform turn-by-turn navigation SDK. Currently, it’s only targeting iOS and Android platforms. By extending Ferrostar's functionality to Progressive Web Applications (PWAs), we aim to unlock its potential in diverse scenarios. PWAs offer a lightweight, accessible platform for delivering navigation services without the need for specialized native development teams. Additionally, PWAs can greatly broaden the versatility of navigation, such as expanding accessibility to turn-by-turn navigation on handheld PCs and non-Android embedded devices, and some scenarios like Apple App Clips (basically Apple’s rebranded PWAs) which are convenient when downloading apps being clunky (for example, navigating in a park).
<p>Most of existing PRU applications utilize (waste) one PRU core for data transfer. The goal of this project is to enable usage of EDMA controller for copying of data to and from main memory (DDR), which would allow applications to use both cores for computation.</p>
QuantumClifford.jl is a package designed for simulating Quantum Clifford circuits, circuits that consist of Clifford gates. QuantumClifford.jl can be highly useful for designing Quantum error-correcting codes. Since applying Clifford gates to Stabilizer states is mathematically similar to Linear Algebraic operations, we can utilize GPU to parallelize the process and make it significantly faster. This Summer of Code project consists of implementing the aforementioned Clifford gate operations in GPU kernels, and then seamlessly integrating them into the rest of the QuantumClifford library.
This project aims to add support for IEEE 802.3-2022 10BASE-T1x Ethernet in NuttX using MAC-PHY devices with the Open Alliance SPI interface. These low-cost Ethernet solutions are well-suited for embedded systems, aligning with NuttX’s target use cases. The core deliverables include implementing a reusable driver infrastructure for Open Alliance 10BASE-T1x Serial Interface-compatible MAC-PHYs, with initial focus on the NCV7410 driver, supporting PLCA configuration, porting the driver to the ARM-based platform, and developing a test application. An optional goal is to include support for additional devices (e.g., ADIN1110) following the specification.
<p>The idea is to integrate the support for query and generation of SQLite databases into KtoBLZCheck to replace the text files used currently. This will avoid duplicate data and enable the support for multiple countries improving the scope of this library. An API would be made available to allow integration of this database into other financial applications. An API would also be added to download updates for the data file.</p>
<p>The goal of this project is to implement the support for Research Object specification into Nextflow workflow framework, with the aim to improve the reproducibility and transparency of the resulting data-analysis and computational workflows based on such tool.</p>
Enable popular Keras Hub GenAI/LLM pipelines for the OpenVINO backend in Keras 3 and optimize their performance. This project focuses on implementing missing operations in the OpenVINO backend to support and accelerate Gemma, Mistral, and GPT-2 pipelines for efficient inference. Additionally, it adds support for exporting these models to OpenVINO IR format using any backend. The final deliverables include 3 fully enabled and optimized pipelines running on Keras 3 with OpenVINO, along with reliable export functionality.
This project adds support for a Head Tracked Fish Tank Display for monoscopic devices in Monado. It uses the laptop webcam/phone camera to track the user's face pose and position. The final display appears as a magic window, the view of which changes according to the movement of the head.
<p>From my perspective, we could redo some game menus and improve user's experience. The general idea is to provide more opportunities to manage module dependencies and add possibility configure them. And other useful changes, e.g. previews for saved games, full description, e.t.c.</p>
<p>The project aims at providing the MergeFunctions pass in LLVM to have feature parity with the MergeSimilarFunctions pass, which can merge functions which are similar beyond a user specified similarity threshold. It also deals with providing MergeFunctions pass with ThinLTO support, thereby gaining in the code size optimisation.</p>
The project aims at monitoring performance and improving the data visuals used to represent the performance report for Geant4 which is a toolkit for the simulation of passage of particles through matter. Performance reports are handled by using profiling tools such as perf and data visuals are generated by d3.js. Extending the performance report is also a part of this project.
<p>Scikit-learn (as of this writing, 3/17/2015) currently has 435 opened pull requests and 699 issues. This project is an attempt to take some of the stalled work in the review pipeline in the theme of the <code>tree</code> module and complete them to merging quality. For the full proposal, see <a href="https://github.com/scikit-learn/scikit-learn/wiki/%5BNelson-Liu%5D-GSoC-2016-Project-Proposal:-Addition-of-various-enhancements-to-the-tree-module-by-completing-stalled-pull-requests." target="_blank">the scikit-learn Github Wiki.</a></p>
<p>Newt is a free, web-based, open source viewer and editor for pathways in Systems Biological Graphical Notation (SBGN). It is written with a series of libraries and extensions based on Cytoscape.js with utmost customization in mind. The purpose of this project is to improve Newt editor so that it is much easier to use and many more people can benefit from it.</p>
<p>Nftables is the successor of {ip,ip6,arp,eb}tables as a network filtering and classification framework. Its enhancement is to unite all the tools for different protocols and provide a complex interface to manage them.</p> <p>My plan is to extract the iptables implementation of the TPROXY target, and reuse it to implement native socket match and tproxy support in nftables.</p>
BioDynaMo, a powerful agent-based simulation platform, utilizes ROOT for functionalities like statistical analysis, random number generation, and IO. However, BioDynaMo's reflection system, which relies on efficient access to class information, can be optimized for improved performance. This project proposes upgrading to C++ modules within the ROOT framework to achieve this goal.
Seata Go currently lags behind the Java version in registry support and operational diagnostics. This proposal introduces a shared multi registry foundation for Seata Go, implements Nacos, ZooKeeper, Consul, and Redis support in a phased and reviewable way, addresses NamingServer and path compatibility issues needed by the Go SDK baseline, and extends seata ctl with server and config self checks, transaction and lock diagnostics, and structured output. The project deliverables include the shared registry layer, four registry adapters with tests, a bounded diagnostic command set, and follow up TUI, sample, and documentation polish.
<p>The project involves work on adding support for RFC 5723 primarily. RFC 5723 proposes an extension to IKEv2 (Internet Key Exchange v2) that allows a client to re-establish an IKE Security Association with a gateway in a highly efficient manner, utilizing a previously established IKE SA. As this RFC might not be enough for the entire GSoC period, I will be working on further adding support for RFC 6023. RFC 6023 describes an extension to the Internet Key Exchange version 2 (IKEv2) protocol that allows an IKEv2 Security Association to be created and authenticated without generating a Child SA.</p>
<p>According to the H.264/AVC standard, a decoder should be able to only decode the base view of an MVC encoded stream if the hardware doesn't support MVC decoding. The same applies to the base layer of a SVC encoded stream. I propose adding proper backwards compatible decoding support to vaapih264dec by resolving: <a href="https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=732267" target="_blank">#732267</a>, <a href="https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=732265" target="_blank">#732265</a>, <a href="https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=732266" target="_blank">#732266</a>.</p>
<p>The project sets to add tilling support for the Adreno 3XX gallium driver, figuring out the various layouts for different types of textures, when to use them, and update the use cases. Tiled rendering greatly reduces the required memory bandwidth, which is particularly important for handheld/embedded devices and low power GPUs with restricted resources. This especially important nowadays with the advent of IOT.</p>
<p>This is a proposal for extending and improving the OpenCV text module. In brief I propose implementing word-level classification with deep CNN for text recognition, as this strategy has proven superior to character level. I propose to implement an optional subset for training models introducing external dependencies and versatile, optionally light weight, feed-forward recogniser that can be used wherever OpenCV is deployable.</p>
keink (KubeEdge IN kind) is a project for running local KubeEdge clusters using Docker container "nodes", so developers can install a multi-node edge cluster in one node. Now we need to support the latest version installation in keink. - Expected Outcome: keink can install the latest version of KubeEdge and developers can quickly use keink to run kubeedge, and then develop applications on KubeEdge.
