<p>ftw.book add-on is aimed to help users to manage their content as a form of "Book", and provide a way for users to get a hard-copy of documents.</p> <p>The project idea aims at:</p> <ul> <li>Upgrade the add-on to fit to Plone 5, or maybe compatible with both 4 &amp; 5;</li> <li>Derive new classes from "Book" to satisfy more demands;</li> <li>Add BibTex support;</li> <li>Add "collection";</li> </ul> <p>The expected result should be an add-on fit to Plone 5,with more classes and extended functionality.</p>

<p>This project will expand the public accessibility of SegAnnDB as well as work on providing integrations with the UCSC Genome Browser and Galaxy.</p>

<p>Session Restore is important as a key feature of Firefox. Many people rely on it to re-open a tab from the past or recover from an unfortunate power outage. This project's goal is to make the process snappy and blazing fast.</p>

Configurable linter for Concerto (used in the Accord Project) validates syntax and the JSON AST of Concerto models against a curated set of Spectral rules. Rules enforce best practices : such as naming conventions (e.g., camelCase properties, PascalCase declarations) and feature restrictions (e.g., reserved keywords), while remaining fully configurable per project. Lint results surface in the concerto CLI. The tool is designed to be lightweight and performant; it integrates seamlessly with existing concerto tooling and supports extensible rulesets packaged as npm modules. Overall, the project advances Concerto by reducing manual checks, improving model quality, and providing practical rules informed by real user needs, backed by comprehensive testing and easy configuration.

<ul> <li>Push Health is a new Dashboard being built inside Treeherder to determine if a push is good based on calculations of Tasks and Tests success rate within the push and historically. The main aim is to add and enhance features which would make it more efficient for users like handling the bulk actions efficiently.</li> <li>InfraStructure Compare View is also a new Dashboard built inside Treeherder which would provide parity. There could be different machines and large changes to OS which one needs to verify and monitor the changes well.</li> <li>Improve Log parsing UX and general improvements to log viewer</li> </ul>

<h3>Problem:</h3> <p>JSON is a nice format to store data and it has become quite prevalent. If we are not overwhelmed by the diversity of JSON now, we soon will be. There will be more JSON, of more different shapes, as the number of connected devices and the information they generate continues to increase. Unfortunately, databases do not handle it well, often a human is required to declare a schema that can hold the JSON before it can be queried.</p> <h3>Project:</h3> <p>Created a Python SQLite connector to store JSON documents in SQLite so that they are accessible via SQL(using JSON Query Expressions). This will serve a basis for a general document-relational map(DRM), and leverage the database’s query optimizer. It is also responsible for making the schema and changing it dynamically as new JSON schema are encountered and to ensure that the old queries against the new schema have the same meaning.</p> <p>There is a test suite to confirm the expected behaviour: testing a variety of JSON forms and the queries that can be performed on them. Most tests are further split into three different output formats: list, table and cube. There is also a connector for Elastisearch and these two will be merged sometime in future.</p>

<p>The features implemented in recent years have greatly enhanced the functionality of the app. Currently, All basic features which help in investigating the users journey have been successfully implemented.  However, the app needs improvements such that users have a bug free and a smooth experience using the app.</p> <p>Hence this year I would like to focus on improving user experience by</p> <ol> <li>Solving some of the critical bugs.</li> <li>Adding new features.</li> <li>New layout designs.</li> </ol>

<p>To increase the interoperability of the Galaxy Platform with GA4GH Cloud-compliant solutions, the goal of this project is to add support for the TES to the Galaxy and Pulsar. The runner would be implemented in Galaxy, would be able to convert the job requirements from Galaxy to the job script for TES, and would stage the job on TES remotely and actively manage the sent job until its completion. This would allow Galaxy to distribute the jobs across the TES computational Network. According to the TES specification, the Pulsar REST interface could be modified to bring standardization across the services.</p>

<p>Teiid is a data virtualization tool. This tool enables querying multiple data sources with a single query. My project covers the following 3 major tasks:</p> <ol> <li>Implementing a translator for parquet files that would enable reading of parquet files from different sources.</li> <li>Implementing data source support for s3 would enable the reading of various files in S3 sources.</li> <li>Implementing data source support for HDFS would enable the reading of various files in the HDFS source.</li> </ol>

<p>The project aims to improve and maintain at least 25 sugar activities.</p>

<p>The project mainly focuses on <strong>improving the User Experience</strong> for people who wish to contribute to Pontoon (the localization tool developed by Mozilla) . While there are lots of good features in the Pontoon but there are few problems with the current flow for tool for the first-time users which creates a confusion for the users who wish to contribute. User Experience (UX) can be improved by making some important changes in the flow majorly making a <strong>new homepage</strong> and by implementation of new functionality in the tool like <strong>implementing a tutorial</strong> and making a more smooth design of the tool to help the first-time users. UX also sometimes involve some changing in the default UI of the tool.</p>

A smooth and intuitive onboarding experience is essential for any app, ensuring that users understand its features while maintaining trust and engagement. This project focuses on enhancing the ListenBrainz Android onboarding flow by making it more informative, user-friendly, and privacy-conscious. Key improvements include a dedicated Listen Submission screen to give users full control over which apps contribute listens, clear permission rationales, and fallback mechanisms for denied permissions. Additionally, a revamped sign-in screen will provide better navigation, including a bug report option for easy issue submission. These improvements are crucial for user transparency and trust. By introducing a Listen Submission screen, users can choose how and when their listening data is collected, ensuring privacy and control. Clear permission rationales and fallback handling prevent confusion and provide users with alternative ways to grant necessary permissions. The addition of update prompts and options like disabling battery optimization in settings ensures users stay updated with the latest features and optimizations effortlessly. Seamless updates and proactive issue resolution enhance the overall experience. Integrating an update prompt for Play Store and F-Droid users keeps them informed about new releases, while a "Report Bug" button on the sign-in screen streamlines feedback collection. These refinements will significantly improve user retention, ensuring ListenBrainz remains a top choice for tracking listening habits while prioritizing privacy and usability.

<p>Transitioning the matrix connector in opsdroid to matrix-nio API to add support for E2EE and facilitate further development</p>

<p>Build a Standalone library / tool to visualise the <code>BLAST</code> results. This tool will be build on Ruby as command line tool.</p> <h4>Types of visualisation</h4> <ul> <li><strong>Relationship Visualisation</strong> will display relationship between query sequence and hits sequences. The circos visualisation will plot alignment which are identical in query and hit sequence. This will help user to understand alignments in query and hit sequence.</li> <li><strong>Length Analysis Visualisation</strong> will display the lengths of various hits sequences alongside display the relative length of hits with respective to the query sequence. This will provide a gist of lengths of hits and also an idea about query sequence length.</li> <li><strong>Dotplot visualisation</strong> plots a two-dimensional matrix and filling it with shaded blacks if residues of both sequence are identical. This will provide an in-depth idea about similarity of both the sequence. ## Integration with SequenceServer SequenceServer integration of tool enables it to display the result in HTML and readily available to all existing users. It will enable tool in filtering the results on basis of taxonomy and E-value. Select relevant results to download data in GFF3 format and visualisation.</li> </ul>

The Chart activity offers various features, such as creating customized charts, collaborate with their peers, exporting charts, and using different chart types. It's a useful tool for teachers as it makes it easier to help students understand charts and create charts for academic purposes. The new Word Puzzle template in the Exerciser activity allows teachers to quickly create custom word puzzles on-the-fly during lessons using any media or text format, giving learners an interactive way to practice vocabulary.

<p>The proposal is for the project "Giving Sugar Labs Website a New Look". The basic requirement of the project is to provide "www.sugarlabs.org" a new look and the primary goals involve making the existing website more attractive and easier to explore for visitors/users. The proposal ensures that the primary goals are achieved and also proposes other major secondary goals that would further improve the website in many aspects. The proposal has been structured and presented in a neat way.</p>

<p>AOM (Accessibility Object Model) is a JavaScript API that allows for modifying an accessibility tree like DOM. In this project, AOM phase 1 &amp; 2 is implemented.</p> <h3>phase 1</h3> <p>The accessibleNode property is added to DOM Element. The properties of AccessibleNode correspond to ARIA attributes one-to-one, and web browsers can modify accessibility tree via this property. Note that if both an AccessibileNode property and its corresponding ARIA attribute are present, the AccessibleNode property overrides the ARIA attribute.</p> <h3>phase 2</h3> <p>AccessibleNode interface is derived from EventTarget so that accessibility input events and assistive actions become able to be processed via AccessibleNode. This enables web developers to check whether users are using an assistive technology or not, and this may leads to discrimination against some users. So, web browsers should ask users for permission of listening for accessiblity events before propagating those events to AccessibleNodes.</p>

<p><a href="http://activities.sugarlabs.org" target="_blank">http://activities.sugarlabs.org/</a>, often addressed as <strong>ASLO</strong> is the Sugar Labs app store, where activities are hosted and downloaded. It serves as main network for distribution of apps/activities available for the system and helps users find relevant and interesting activities, which would ultimately help them learn and grow. Main aim is to maintain and fix ASLO, adding new and meaningful features that help make ASLO easy to use both for developers and users, doing intended operation with as much minimal intervention as possible.</p>

The objective of this proposal is to design and implement an in-context AI assistant, named Co-Pilot, tailored for assisting users in creating Concerto models. This AI assistant will be seamlessly integrated into the existing VSCode web-extension, Playground, or other chatbot marketplaces, providing users with intuitive access to AI-driven suggestions and guidance during model creation. Co-Pilot will support multiple foundational AI models, such as OpenAI, Bard, Anthropic, among others, and allow users to configure API keys for their preferred models. Additionally, the proposal aims to engineer LLM prompts effectively to aid users in editing Concerto models and measure the effectiveness of these prompts.

Design and build a real-time peer mentorship matching room using WebRTC and Node.js WebSockets.

<p>DevOps for GenPipes would create an automatic deployment of the GenPipes project in the cloud using Terraform. It would support multiple cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, OpenStack Cloud etc.</p>

The Exerciser activity lets you build interactive exercises using multiple templates and share these exercises with other users. This project aims to improve the activity and implement new features, precisely a way to use Exerciser as an evaluation platform. To implement this idea, firstly, I have to upgrade the reactJs version so that the latest version is in use also have to implement the way to run all exercises with one click.
