<p>Phylanx relies on many external libraries which makes the building process tedious and error prone, especially to the target audience of the software- domain scientist. The goal of this project is to automate the build process of Phylanx by creating a distribution package. The distribution package should build and install Phylanx and its requirements through Python's pip package manager.</p>
Description: Kyverno is a Kubernetes native policy engine that secures and automates Kubernetes configurations. This project automates scalability tests for Kyverno on large Kubernetes clusters with several namespaces and resources. The candidate has to propose an automation plan to create clusters and resources and help optimize resource usage of Kyverno for different loads for large Kubernetes clusters.
The OWTF web application has not been updated in a while and is missing some of the modern React advancements. Through this project, I want to work on migrating the entire codebase to modern architecture using TypeScript and React Hooks. More and more React developers are starting to appreciate the type safety TypeScript allows when working with React. Using this makes our code a lot more thorough with handling error cases.
The Zulip messaging app currently relies heavily on JavaScript, which lacks certain types and safeguards for developers. To improve the experience and speed of creating modules, the project aims to migrate to TypeScript, which provides missing types and additional safeguards. In addition to the migration, improving the UI and Integrations of the Zulip Web App could bring significant enhancements to the app.
Description: WasmEdge is a lightweight, high-performance, and extensible WebAssembly runtime for cloud native, edge, and decentralized applications. WasmEdge is an official sandbox project hosted by the CNCF. WasmEdge is designed for the general purpose wasm runtime. However, when running rustpython, we found the performance is worse than other runtimes such as wasmtime, even after using the ahead-of-time compilation.
The project aims to develop awar s companion app for the Ultimate Alarm Clock mobile application. This companion app will allow users to sync, control and manage alarms directly from the smart watch using the Data Layer API, also lets them set alarms natively on watch and that message can be send to UAC as well.
<p>DigiKam has powerful tool to auto detect and recognize faces on images. This feature is important for the end users, as it can save a lot of time. However, for now there are some issues with workflow and GUI that can be improved to make this tool even better. In my paper, I sum up suggestions from the digiKam users and from my own user experience to propose a plan of work.</p>
The "GlitchWitcher: AI-assisted Bug Prediction" project aims to develop and compare two distinct approaches for predicting defects in source code: Approach 1: A lightweight, history-based method using the BugCache/FixCache algorithm. Approach 2: A sophisticated supervised anomaly detection model based on Reconstruction Error Probability Distribution (REPD).
<p>Primary objective is to design a smart dark web crawler, capable of mapping the darkest crevices of the dark web. Secondary objectives are to expand Maryam's capabilities by adding more sources and collaborative modules such as a scientific article searcher, famous person searcher and a text document clustering module for use in Iris (Maryam's metasearch engine).</p>
<p>Introduction:-The Susper Search Appliance uses Yacy-Grid. Currently only the backend exists, that can be used via terminal. The goal of this project is to offer users a simple UI for a Susper Search Appliance, that allows users to run a local distributed search engine and also Develop extra Features on the BackEnd side for Yacy</p>
Project aims to integrate rmw_zenoh middleware to MoveIt2 and benchmark its effects on MoveIt2 project in points of message latency, performance of large data like pointcloud and how affects performance in situation number of topic etc. is changed. To modify CI jobs in a way being able to make it testable and benchmarkable for each ros middleware is also one of the aims of this project.
Robolectric uses error-prone to check the common code quality problems. Currently, there are many warnings/recommendations left to fix, this topic will focus on fixing those problems to improve the Robolectric’s code quality. And there are many tests that are written in Java which I will be converted into Kotlin to make them more concise and to support Google’s Kotlin-first advocacy.
<p>Rpmlint is a tool for checking common errors in RPM packages. It is used for checking RPM packages or specfiles either individually or with the entire distribution. The main description of this project is to refactor the rpmlint checks and code sitting in the rpmlint repository. Since there are missing tests for some checks in the repository it is also needed to write them first and then work on their respective checks.</p>
<p>Redis is an open source (BSD licensed), in-memory data structure store, used as a database, cache and message broker. So, It is better if Apache Gora can use redis DB as well. Then this proposal is mainly dedicated to providing Redis compatibility for Gora. For such, there is a need to implement a new datastore, and Apache Gora gives a great facility for this.</p>
<p>My primary goal with this project is to build a notebook front ends so users can interact with weather data. As an initial goal, I will work with Apache Airavata community to build a data pipeline to perform Extract-Transform-Load (ETL). I was inspired by the ZEPPELIN-684 idea but eventually got drifted into a concrete suggestion from Apache Airavata.</p>
<p>All of the color mapping in Matplotlib is currently derived from<code>ScalerMappable</code> which as the name suggests maps scalers from <code>R^1 ->R^4</code> RGBA color space. It is common to want to map a vector tocolors, for example to control the alpha based on a second value in ascatter plot or to show the orientation of a field.</p>
Description: Kyverno is a Kubernetes native policy engine that secures and automates Kubernetes configurations. This project extends the Kyverno CLI to cover generate policies and improve tests coverage for Kyverno, based on the test results. The enhancement will involve extending the test command for generate policy rules, adding more test cases for the samples, and automating execution of tests.
Cookiecutter is a powerful command-line utility that generates project templates. Open science lab has developed a template that aims to provide the workflow, library, and tool recommended by PyOpenSci. This project aims to improve the document and add a different tool, add build systems, testing libraries, and more static analysis tools, and change the template engine from cookiecutter to cookieninja.
<p>I would like to develop a new GUI application based on Qt 5.5 or next version that should be able to load data in the simplemap format and visualize it as a set of different metric maps. Also, it should allow editing robot poses to fix errors in automatic SLAM algorithms. I want to integrate my application in CMake main project of MRPT.</p>
<p>The objective of this project is to create an open-source plugin for SOFA building an interface with the open-source library Pulse. This engine provides comprehensive models for the human physiology.</p> <p>The coupling will lead to an interface which will model parts of the human physiology in addition to providing simulation data of various components, varying with time.</p>
CVXPY is a Python-embedded modeling language for convex optimization problems. In this project, I aim to add support for new advancements in optimization methods for problems involving the ubiquitous matrix logarithm --- which in this context has especially important applications to quantum information. These new tools will dramatically expand CVXPY’s usefulness to QI theorists and quantum computer engineers.
<p>xts::plot.xts is a strong engine for statistical and financial charting. But quantmod, PerformanceAnalytics, PortfolioAnalytics, quantstrat and blotter packages are using basic R graphical functions. My work is to enhance the flexibility, efficiency and visualization ability by substituing plot.xts for basic graphical functions in those packages, and extend the existing examples using modified functions.</p>
<p>As a member of the sage-dynamics community, researchers have compiled a wishlist for algorithms and functionality they would like added. I would like to shorten the wish list for us.For my project I will be completing some desired additions to SAGE from the Sage Dynamics Wiki. I will implement Well’s Algorithm, strengthen the numerical precision in cannonical_height, as well as implement reduced_form for higher dimensions.</p>
<p>Inclusion of USER_LDT option in NetBSD kernel allows Wine32 applications to be run on amd64 architecture. This is useful primarily owing to the majority of Windows applications being 32-bit. My work involves getting the latest version of Wine to compile and run on i386 and amd64, and building Wine with WoW64 support which will allow running Wine32 applications on amd64.</p>
