Kolibri Studio is a content curation tool for Kolibri. Its main purpose is to provide an easy and convenient way to organize learning resources and build channels for Kolibri. User Experience is a really important aspect of Kolibri Studio as it may involve multiple users working on the same content curation unit (channels). Delayed reflection of the modified state of a channel to a collaborative user may cause inconvenience and may even lead to repetitive change to the same entity. The current setup for Real-Time Communication in Studio involves maintaining a server-side log which is being simulated by calling the POST method of sync API. All collaborative users are hitting this POST method at regular intervals to post any changes made by them (if no changes are made then the empty changes array is posted) and receive any changes made by other users as a response of this method. The proposed WebSocket architecture will neutralize and reduce the load on the server which is currently being created due to continuous polling of the APIs. It will convert the complex underlying structure of Sync API into a simple real-time-friendly architecture in which a full-duplex communication between client and server takes place. It will also enormously enhance the user experience of the whole process of collaborative content curation.

<p>The Global Alliance for Genomics and Health aims to provide end-to-end solutions for clinical data use cases. The sensitive nature of data in the personalized healthcare sector frequently requires it's analysis on-site. Computation over the cloud allows the user to enjoy flexibility in hosting the data and its computation. Through this project, I aim to provide a proof of concept for a microservice that redistributes Task Execution Schema instances generated from the Workflow Execution Schema engine(s) based on parameters associated with data or the workflow ex. the time required to transfer data cost associated with the computation of the task etc.</p>

<p>My proposal for a project is to implement the current features of the User Interface Options on the responsive design. The project goal is to also all new features to all version of the platform. The key features on the mockups will be added. I also have some ideas for additional customizations and minor design improvements.</p> <p>The aim is to create an easy to use tool that can be useful for every person on any device. I hope the everything will come together nicely and have an exceptional final product that people will love.</p>

<p>OWASP Seraphimdroid has previously applied a system, based on permissions, which is able to distinguish malicious apps from non-malicious. But it still has some false positive errors, like foodpanda app. In order to improve OWASP Seraphimdroid’s performance, we would like to learn from other outputs (like network, CPU, buttery and memory usage, system call logs) can monitor about application whether it can be malicious.</p>

Enhance Zeno by implementing headless browsing via Rod for improved archiving of dynamic websites, developing a precise CSS parser for accurate URL extraction from both inline and separate CSS files, addressing potential disk exhaustion when downloading large files, creating a dummy test site for better local testing, enabling HQ to control Zeno clients remotely via WebSocket, and addressing existing GitHub issues to improve overall stability and functionality. Deliverables: - A Zeno version with implemented headless browsing, configurable for URL/domain matching patterns - A CSS extractor capable of extracting URLs from inline and separate CSS files. - A Zeno version implementing the --max-content-length and --min-space-urgent parameters. - A dummy test site backend with various test endpoints. - A Zeno version that can be controlled by HQ via WebSocket.

Part of a greater effort to make Sugar more welcoming and maintainable.</p> <p>Script for end-to-end migration of <a href="https://wiki.sugarlabs.org/go/Activities#Sugar_Activities" target="_blank">activity documentation pages</a> from the Sugar Labs wiki, to GitHub(and simultaneously <a href="https://github.com/godiard/help-activity" target="_blank">help-activity</a>).</p> <h7>Impact:</h7> <ul> <li>Reduction in maintenance efforts.</li> <li>User-documentation moved to help-activity could just be downloaded once, and then read whenever needed; eliminating the need to have persistent internet connectivity.</li> <li>Contextual-help ( <code>alt</code> + <code>shift</code> + <code>h</code> ) from within another sugar-activity could also be made available, when the documentation resides at help-activity.</li> <li>Developer-documentation of sugar-activities, if kept at same place with the source-code in its GitHub-repository; would help developers/maintainers (they could be read and updated easily; without visiting an external link to the wiki).</li> </ul>

<p>The current state of Question Tool client side app is in functional state, but there are both, a large number of issue remaining, and an equally large number of required features to be implemented. A user can post an instance and others can only interact by either reacting on the instance (Like the instance), or by posting an answer to that instance. But, Question Tool currently has very less user interaction because of no notifications or emails about what is happening with any instance idea or with their replies. Question tool’s user experience is also not upto the marks as per now, which can also be the possible reason for some users less collaboration. The project also lacks some features that will be a lot helpful to the users.</p>

<p>Develop a service(set of classes within the project) for searching and sorting to output advanced nested results by prioritising tags and power tags which fulfils the general search requirement of the users and detailed analysed searching of admins and directors in the system.</p>

<p><strong>Draft Feature:</strong> This feature would allow users to save their research note as a draft so that user can complete it anytime. It would also allow a user to generate a secret link which he/she can share with specific users to have their review of his work.</p> <p><strong>Email Integration Project</strong> consists of three major parts -</p> <ol> <li>Reply by Email to comment: This feature would allow a user to comment on the research note or question posted at PublicLab just by replying back to the notification email they received regarding the question.</li> <li>Weekly Digest: Implementation of feature by which an email would be sent to each user of Public Lab containing his/her liked topics updates. </li> <li>UI for email notification settings: I have designed the user-interface which would allow users to customize their experience with PublicLab's website.</li> </ol>

<p>The aim of this project is to make a breakpad server for VLC and other VideoLAN projects, similar to <a href="https://github.com/mozilla/socorro" target="_blank">Socorro</a> from Mozilla.</p>

Creation of a functionality so that teachers can perform reviews on code implementations in the deliveries of their students with the purpose of improving the quality of user learning. In order to do this, the front end interface should be modified so that the teacher assistants can select a fraction of the code submitted by a student to a problem and make comments that will help the student to solve their problem or improve their code. Also the APIs should be modified to save and read the different feedback submissions. Deliverables: * Modify the interface to be able to select the code and create a comment * Modify the APIs with the new parameters * Implement a notification system for TAs and Students * Testing for front end * Testing for back end

<p>The Wayback Machine archives billions of webpages, with vast numbers being added to the collection every day, including news sources. Though the crawling operations are quite successful, there is still work to be done to improve the quality of webpages archived by checking for “broken” or “bad” pages. I propose developing a methodology to assess the quality of news sources, both in terms of bias/factual reporting and in terms of technical viability such as geoblocking, paywall blocks, and CAPTCHAs. I will then use this methodology to create a tool that can automatically assess quality and take an appropriate action, perhaps preserving an error message and reason for failure in the Wayback Machine. This tool will ideally be integrated with the Wayback Machine’s web crawlers. I will also use my findings to develop recommendations for circumvention tactics, such as paying for subscriptions to important news sources or negotiating agreements with CAPTCHA services to allow the Internet Archive, as a public good, to bypass the CAPTCHA. The goal of the project is to develop a system to think about the quality of archived webpages and then create tools to automate quality assessment.</p>

This project aims to enhance the stats routines in stdlib by introducing convenience array wrappers for all 1D strided APIs, simplifying access to statistical functions for common use cases. Additionally, it will develop specialized ndarray kernels for statistical operations, such as mean, variance, and correlation, enabling efficient handling of multi-dimensional data. The project also involves refactoring existing packages to include C ndarray interfaces and aligning them with stdlib's coding standards. Deliverables include fully implemented and tested convenience wrappers, ndarray kernels, detailed documentation, and benchmarks, making the library more accessible, modular, and efficient for developers working with numerical and scientific computing in JavaScript.

<p>My project proposal is to make the tool more user-friendly and adding features which will help in a more meaningful discussion among people. This includes improvements in the admin and moderator role, improvements in the UX, making the tool responsive, changes in the UI, addition of new features like tags, subscription to tags and introduction of a new profile - speaker.</p>

Creative Commons has released the “CC Search” project. Being able to access visualizations of all the indexed content is a good way for the community (and CC) to see how much data has been indexed and find and explore relationships between CC-licensed content on the web. The challenge is then, to create visualizations of all the data that is stored in the Creative Commons catalog (over 250 million works and growing) and show how they link to each other</p>

This proposal aims to create a client library in rust and command line interface (CLI) for interacting with GA4GH environments in python. It will be easy to upgrade and maintain different versions of API’s with the CLI, which will be done by generating code using openapi-generator automatically. It also involves cross language bindings to access the functions in other languages like C, Python, Go and JavaScript. It will make it easier for organisations and users to access GA4GH standards, increasing the usability of GA4GH standards worldwide

<p>This project is to build a dashboard that will deliver features to enable an admin handle activities. It will offer filterable Pivot Table of Activity, and also provide meachinism for the admin to select an Activity Type and date period and delete the Activities including any related data in the log tables (if used).</p>

This project aims to finalize the release of CCExtractor 1.00, with a primary focus on porting a significant amount of the existing C code to Rust. Additionally, the project includes creating a Docker image to simplify CCExtractor usage without any environmental setup hassle, fixing and testing the code through unit tests and regression tests.

<p>This project aims to create a plugin for other platforms to help Creative Commons users. Since freedom is given on choosing the platform and tools, I will create a Cross-browser extension to help users</p> <ul> <li>Search and filter CC-licensed content.</li> <li>Easily attribute the content.</li> <li>Have a personalized experience by setting custom settings and defaults.</li> <li>Bookmark images for later.</li> <li>Export and import bookmarks.</li> <li>Sync bookmarks and custom settings.</li> </ul> <p>This, along with an intuitive and human-friendly UI, would result in more personal interaction of users around the world with Creative Commons and its mission of maximizing digital creativity, sharing and innovation.</p>

<p>I would like to help expand the current Google Home Actions for the Internet Archive. I believe that the introduction of voice prompts would make many of the Internet Archive’s large data sets more accessible and easy to access. As a digital library, I think it’s only fitting that the Internet Archive have it’s very own digital librarian. With some help from the Google Home, this could make for an awesome interactive experience.</p>
