<p>The goal of this project will be to move the existing functionality of the angular code over to react. The new components will be using web standards as much as possible, avoiding extensive use of third-party libraries.</p>

<p>The current validation process in tasking manager has some flaws due to which some projects are not validated completely or precisely. Project Managers should be able to choose validators and form teams for their project so that they will have control of who can validate their project data. This will give more precise validations and will also help in dividing large projects among different teams.</p>

<p>The goal is to have users send real time reports via USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Services Data), this will be integrated with the Ushahidi Platform v3. Reports sent can be seen on the platform for further analysis.</p>

<p>The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) applies the principles of open source and open data sharing for humanitarian response and economic development. HOTs provides free, up-to-date maps are a critical resource when relief organizations are responding to disasters or political crises. This is a great initiative started back in 2010. I have chosen this project because of two major reasons, first being the organization itself and the motive behind the project which I found very interesting and important to work on, secondly the technology stack the project is using Javascript/NodeJS for APIs and React for the frontend.</p>

<p>MapCampaigner is a field data collection organizing application. Organizers can define an area, define the features to collect, and recruit contributors. A missing component is an improved team management capabilities. This project would look to build out additional admin components for managing and engaging a team of contributors.</p>
